DevOps Support Engineer
We are seeking a DevOps Support Engineer to join our team and support the growing demand for environment management, system maintenance, and operational efficiency. This role is closely aligned with the DevOps team, handling recurring operational tasks while also providing opportunities to grow into a Senior DevOps position through exposure to automation, CI/CD, and cloud technologies.
What responsibilities will you have?
- Manage and support application environments, including deployments, upgrades, and maintenance.
- Perform recurring operational tasks such as build support, project configuration, and system administration.
- Collaborate with the DevOps team to ensure stability and reliability of infrastructure and services.
- Monitor and troubleshoot environment issues, escalating to DevOps engineers when necessary.
- Contribute to process improvements by documenting standard operations and identifying automation opportunities.
- Provide support coverage that complements global time zones.
What skills & experience are we looking for?
Minimum Qualifications
- Mid-Level experience using CI/CD tools such as GitLab, TeamCity, Azure DevOps, or Octopus for build and deployment support.
- 1+ years working with system support, operations, or environment maintenance.
- 1+ years of experience with scripting languages such as PowerShell, Shell, or Python for task automation.
- Experience with environment setup, system upgrades, and troubleshooting on Windows or Linux.
- Ability to manage multiple operational tasks independently and ensure service continuity.
- Good communication skills in English (Mandarin is a plus).
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working with Cloud Services such as AWS or Azure.
- Experience working with Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform, CloudFormation, or pipeline YAML files.
- Exposure to Kubernetes and Helm for deployment management.
- Experience supporting Jira/Confluence projects, permissions, and cross-team requests.
- Working knowledge of MSSQL or MySQL databases for monitoring and basic maintenance.
- Experience with Windows/Linux systems, with networking and security knowledge.
- Understanding of DevOps practices and interest in developing automation and CI/CD skills to transition into a DevOps Engineer role.
